I referenced this book in a post on the IMHO board, and now it's driving me crazy that I can't think of the exact title of the book.

I found it in paperback about 3-4 years ago, and as best I can recall, the plot is something like this: A major airport is changing over its air traffic control system, I believe from sight primarily to a new-fangled radar system that's ten times the previous radar system. The villain murders his wife, someone to get their car, I believe, and I think a stripper ... a stripclub is mentioned in the book, now that I think about it. For some reason the line spoken by the cop character "I smiled as I thought about raising my shield and having all the men in light pants stand up" just popped into my mind.

Anyway, I believe the man eventually makes his way to the airport and gets into the tower, disabling the radar system and taking hostages in the tower ... all the while allowing (and quite possibly demanding) that flights continue -- with the eventual goal of two specific airplanes crashing into each other his final goal.

Fortunately, the cop (on the outside) and a heroic air traffic controller (on the inside) thwart his plans and save the day.

Wow ... it's amazing how much I remember of this book I read twice all those years ago. But still ... does ANYone know the name of this book?? Thanks in advance.
