Do you ever discover that, without ever having made it a point to do so, you've seen nearly every one of a certain Hollywood star's movies? And that, sometimes to your dismay, you actually like most of them?
My star? Tom Cruise.
Looking at his IMDB biography (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000129/), I have seen most, if not all, of his movies and loved them. Whether it's Top Gun, Tropic Thunder, Cocktail, The Firm, or The Last Samurai, I've enjoyed them and I've enjoyed Crazy Tom Cruise in them.
Do you have any stars that fit this bill?

Matthew Lillard, even if he's in a turd (and he often is) he steals every scene he's in and makes the flick watchable for me.
Though now that I've gone through his Bio I see I have some catching up to do.

You'd think most of these will be leading men, but for me it's... John C. Reilly.
He's got a ton of diversity, from moronic comedies to action to musicals to drama. And 95% of it is great. I even loved moments of Step Brothers.
He's got impeccible taste and he's a great actor.

Gene Hackman
Robert Duvall
Robert Shaw
They can even make stinkers watchable. I'd add Sean Connery, but he will do such utter schlock for a paycheck that sometimes even he can save it. For example, the move that was between Highlander and Highlander III that doesn't exist. Zardoz. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves. Stinkers all, even with Connery.

I remember one day, looking at my DVD collection, when this thought hit me: "Holy crap, I have a lot of movies with Jonathan Pryce in them!" It wasn't at all on purpose, he just pops up a lot.

Who can argue with that? !!

Gary Oldman, Tim Roth, Tommy Lee Jones, and Robert DeNiro.
Pros, one and all.

Tommy Lee Jones, Yeah! Gotta go with you on that...:)

I second John C. Reilly. He's got an incredible filmography: Boogie Nights, Chicago, Magnolia, Gangs of New York, The Good Girl. He's one of the few actors who's very presence makes me want to give a movie that I might not otherwise be interested in seeing, like Walk Hard and Talladega Nights, a chance.

You liked Cocktail?!
Kris Kristofferson has a habit of turning up in movies I like, even though I can't stand his acting.

Woody Harrelson - I generally find him repugnant as a human being, but he works a LOT and is in a surprising number of quality films that I am appreciative of.
The situation kinda reminds me of when one of your good friends is married to an a*hole. They always show up at parties you are at, you don't want to have to deal with them, but there they are!

I don't like Gwyneth Paltrow, for reasons I can't quite articulate. But I do enjoy almost everything she's been in.

Woody Allen.
I was suprised at this a few months ago when I realized it. I didn't purposefully set out to view all of his films, but I'll be damned if I haven't seen almost all of them, and I liked them! I guess that makes me a Woody fan.

Morgan Freeman always seems to be great, even in films that otherwise aren't so great.
Brad Pitt and Leo DiCaprio seem to do a fairly decent job of picking good roles, as well as Johnny Depp.
Of course, a lot of this has to do with being popular (and smart enough) to get the good scripts and figuring out which are worth pursuing. Actors have to work and unless you are a big draw, sometimes you just have to take on projects that suck in order to pay the mortgage.

Toni Collette. Okay, maybe all of her movies haven't been four star material, but any film she's in is raised by so many degrees. This woman is so talented and such a chameleon that I can believe any movie she is in is a blockbuster.

I've seen almost everything Ed Norton has been in. Not only do i like most of the movies, but i think he's been great in most of them.
Same for Cate Blanchett.

Agreed, and I like you now.

Charlton Heston. There are a couple of his films(like Counterpoint) that didn't thrill me. However, I liked the movies he made before his name was the leading credit in a film.

Usually I feel this way about directors (like Stanley Kubrick), rather than actors.
But I've seen all of Paul Scofield's "big' movies*, and I've liked them all. Especially a Man for All Seasons.
The Train
A Man for All Seasons
Quiz Show
Henry V
Scofield did more stage work than cinema, I think.

Woody Allen, in general (though I haven't seen his recent stuff).
John Cazale, of course. Except for The Deer Hunter, but that wasn't his fault.
Charlie Chaplin
Buster Keaton ( silent films only).
Jacques Tati
Jimmy Stewart
Cary Grant
Katherine Hepburn
