International Bacon Day (http://internationalbaconday.blogspot.com/) is this Saturday. As if we needed an excuse.

i just called mrAru and asked him to pick up a couple pounds, and a head of lettuce and some fresh tomatoes ...
I feel a BLT attack coming on!
I have changed to cooking bacon in my foreman grill, evenly cooked, the strips arent gnarly, all the fat drips off, and they come out perfect!

Hmm...I have a GFG but haven't tried this. Maybe because all the fat would drip off. :(

I've been baking bacon (http://culinaryarts.about.com/od/breakfastcookery/ht/bacon.htm)for a while now, and while most of the fat renders off, there's enough left to be tasty. It turns out mostly flat and perfect for sandwiches. Or for swizzle sticks in a gingerale and burbon.

I've been baking it lately too, mainly because it is far less messy. Also been soaking the strips in dark maple syrup for 30 min before baking. Candied bacon - mmmmmmm.
Every day is bacon day in my house. At least until quadruple bypass day.

As this holiday weekend approaches, our gang of friends are going to be up north and bacon is cooked by the pile for breakfast every morning.
It is referred to as High Holy Times.
I can't eat any of it migraine issues., but the air is saturated with it's velvety goodness.

Man, and I could totally go for some bacon too.
I missed free gyros day from Kronos this week. Maybe I could figure out a way to combine the two.

I'll have to let my gramma know about this. She's an excellent cook, and bacon is her favorite spice.

Baked bacon is pretty good, and fairly reliable. I bet that GFG bacon is pretty good too. It's a real skill to get bacon right on the stove. I never get it quite right.
I'm going to have to sit this one out I'm afraid. Bacon is just a sometimes food for me.

We've been going kind of crazy on bacon lately. I think Saturday will be NOT BACON day in our house.

I forgot to stock up on bacon, so no Bacon Day for me and mine. I will have to buy and cook some this weekend as penance for my sin of bacon omission.

I had pancakes and bacon this morning. I have done my part to celebrate The Day.

Can you buy bacon on Sundays where you live? (Blue laws keeping us from sin and all that.)
