View Full Version : Has this business disappeared?

I've done business with Manning (http://www.h2ssafety.com/products.asp?cat=41) for years, buying calibration gasses from them (good service, btw), but the last time I tried to place an order online their system rejected my order.
I've called both their phone numbers and emailed them with no luck.
They're in Jourdanton, TX and involved with the oil business.
Help me with this mystery, please.
Measure for Measure

Well, the good news is that they sponsored the "special Mothers Day "Manning Safety Services Night at the Races" at I-37 Raceway (http://www.lonestarspeedzone.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=28897&mode=threaded) last May, so it seems that they are alive and kicking. The bad news is that the owner died last December (http://www.hurleyfuneralhome.com/services.asp?page=odetail&id=439&locid=) at the young age of 37; his wife has since taken the reigns of the business. It's a small operation: they have something between 20 and 50 employees (http://www.manta.com/coms2/dnbcompany_fxlbcw), and the oil services industry is highly cyclic. Tough times.
So if a few small orders are being lost or even passed over, it wouldn't surprise me.
