Tom's got a new album coming out November 24, but he's posted the first 8 tracks for free download on his web site. Get them here! (http://www.tomwaits.com/news/article/60/Topspin_Widget_Test/).

I'm downloading now and I feel like a kid on christmas morning. I had no idea a new cd was coming out.

My impressions so far: I'm not sure I like this version of Singapore. I like the first and third tracks though.

I love the version of Dirt in the Ground here, and I'm liking Such A Scream as well.

I had to use an alternate address. Apparently Tom doesn't like my domain name.

You know, I probably haven't heard a "live" recording of Waits since he did "Frank's Wild Years" on SNL. It hadn't occurred to me that I've been listening to the slick, polished, postproduction studio version of Tom Waits all these years. These tracks literally made me laugh out loud -- but I mean that in a good way.
