In this (http://boardstest.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=11717851&posted=1#post11717851) thread I went through several edits trying to get MST3K to come out appropriately capitalized. Not happening. I get that the Board is coded to prevent shouting posts, but is there a workaround for acronyms?

It's happened to folks with all-caps usernames, as well.

How'd you get it to work here, then?
But, if you're having problems, don't forget about the noparse tag. Stick it around something, and it doesn't go through the filter.
I AM IN LOVE WITH YOU MY FRIEND
becomes
I AM IN LOVE WITH YOU MY FRIEND
(Don't ask me why I chose that phrase. My brain is random.)

I'm going to take the liberty of adding some spaces to Squink's message:
ALL CAPS IS KEWL!!!
[ COLOR="White" ]or is it???[ /COLOR ]
If you want to see what coding someone has used in a message, use the "QUOTE" button.
I'm going to take the liberty of adding some spaces to Squink's message:
I knew how Squink did it. I was talking to the OP. He said he couldn't get "MST3K" to work. It was a rhetorical question, my (failed) subtle attempt to show that, if he'd just add a few extra words to the post, it wouldn't be a problem. For example, he could have said "I think you mean MST3K", and it would have worked fine.
Then I offered the noparse tag, which is something he could add without it actually showing up in the post, even when you highlight (like Squink's example does). Unfortunately, it doesn't work by itself. I'll try to find something else.
I'm sorry I was unclear.

TESTING: So as long as part of the post is in lower case, USE OF CAPS FOR THE REMAIDER IS OK?
THIS IS INTERESTING, AS I DIDN'T REALIZE UNTIL NOW THAT THE SYSTEM PREVENTED all caps.
