This has always befuddled me?

they have peanut, peanut butter, almond, Crispy but no white chocolate? everyone usually has white chocolate as another variaty of the same brand.
Why not?/
and also what about caramel center?

i already emailed them this suggesting they get a move on.

Good Question, but I'd say it is safe to assume 2 things.

1) They already thought of it, tested it out, and found that the test group they used didn't react favourably, and canned the idea. shame, really.

2)this thread would probably be answered better in MPSIMS. maybe not factually better, but it would be pretty entertaining...

and WCW most certainly does suck.

Because white "chocolate" is an evil abomination that tastes like sugared white out and does not belong in any self respecting candy line up?

I would guess that it's because they don't want to deal with all the angry letters they'd get which would say, "THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS WHITE CHOCOLATE!!!" Every time I hear about the stuff, someone says something like that. Apparently, in order to be called "chocolate", a substance must contain cocoa solids, which "white chocolate" has none of. The better "white chocolates" have cocoa butter, but the cheap kinds don't even have that--they use vegetable oils instead. The big problem is that there is no good name for this stuff, so it keeps being called "white chocolate", thus drawing evermore fire from purists everywhere.

OK, my real guess is that the test group reacted unfavorably. "White chocolate" is OK, but it's not something that I'd like to eat whole handfuls of. I don't think a candy coating would help the stuff much, either.

Caramel-center M&M's? I'm imagining a candy-coated Milk Dud here. It might be interesting (well, the shape would be funny, anyway), but again, I don't think a candy coating really adds much to that particular candy. It would be too much, really.

Then again, what the heck do I know? I'm strictly a "plain" person when it comes to M&M's.

Yeah, they're plain chocolate, but when I was at FAO Schwartz a couple years ago, they had a wide assortment of M&Ms in every conceivable color, including white. And yes, it looked quite disgusting! Though I almost broke down and bought tan for old times sake.

I even buy butterscotch chips to eat out of the bag. Why not?

RAWisSYDNEY, I just wanted to say that I love your sig line--not as someone who hates wrestling but as someone who spent years using a Commodore Vic 20 computer!

BTW, I would definitely eat white chocolate M&Ms. Let me know if they get back to you about your suggestion!

Maybe the dye would seep into the white chocolate, which could lead to some gross looking M&Ms.

This would be MY vote, yes. Godiva makes "ivory chocolate" candy which is actually quite good, as long as one is prepared to accept the fact that it's really not chocolate, and that one COULD have possibly chosen some real chocolate instead, if one's daughter hadn't gotten to one's Godiva chocolate box FIRST. But that's another story.

Heathons!!! White Chocolate is the sweet simisolids of the Gods!! Coco butter makes it true chocolate.... it tastes so good I would pick it over milk chocolate... White Chocolate M&M's... I can't stop thinking about it.. maybe a petition would work.

White chocolate Reese's Peanut Butter Cups exist, but I've only seen them once - it was at this awesome candy store in Big Bear, California last October. I couldn't resist, so I bought some. I thought they were great. :)

I'd love to see white chocolate M&M's, personally - I'll sign the marketing petition if it comes my way. I'm with Whammo - I love white "chocolate", can't stand dark chocolate, and find the stuff in between OK in moderation. Mmmm...sugar....

Chalk up another white chocolate lover vote.

Personally, I'm not a big eater of chocolate at all, if you can believe a woman is saying that.

I much prefer carmels, toffee, etc.

Butter, milk, cream.....MMMM...diary products!
