I make my own mozzarella, and I would like to use buffalo milk, preferably unpasteurized, raw milk. Anyone know where I can buy some? I am in Houston, but I'll pay to have it shipped if necessary.

You might need to make an arrangement with a farmer/rancher, because I don't believe the FDA allows dairy products to be sold unless they are pasteurized.

I suppose you know this, but I'll point it out anyway: make sure you have the right buffalo. The American buffalo (bison) is not the same as what the Italians mean by buffalo.

Some local farms so a brisk business selling dairy products for "animal" consumption. The ones I'm familiar with only have cows though.
You could try sneaking on a farm with a pail. But be careful if you do it in upstate New York -- Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.

Since this is a thread about the ARTS, specifically food, let's adjourn from General Questions to Cafe Society, where all the foodies hang out.

I'd recommend Wegmans.
