I was thinking the other day of a 70's TV commercial. It featured a guy who used to wear a yellow hard hat and say at the end of every ad- "...because we're THAT GOOD!" I can't recall the chain of stores he was hawking. I think it may have been a furniture chain. Why was he wearing a hard hat? Was he representing organized labor? I think this character was called Jerry. He also said in every ad..."What's the story, Jerry?" The reply was always "That's the stawww-ry!" Was he asking a rhetorical question? I don't know. This is why I was pondering it. He was always flailing his arms and acted in a generally exasperated manner with a tad bit of crazy thrown in to boot. I know it was not Crazy Eddie though. What store was it?
