I was behind a little Chevy 4 door at a light today-when it got in motion, ALL FOUR TIRES were seen to be wobbling excessively. Whoever did her realignment needs to be sued, I thought, until I saw the big dent in her front fender (that wouldn't cause all 4 wheels to askew tho would it?).

They should probably make sure all the lug nuts are secure.

Part way through my quotidian constitutional I went past an ordinary domestic driveway. Glancing casually up it I see a rabbit fair in the middle of the driveway gnawing at some clivias. I look again: a small, black rabbit, slowly bobbing around taking the occasional nip. I should state at this point that I live in the inner, very urban, suburbs of a city of 5 million people. It must be 30 or 40km to the nearest farm.

Meh. We have coyotes in Manhattan (http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/03/25/national/main6332876.shtml).

If a wheel wobbles at low speed, it's bent.
If a rear wheel wobbles at high speed, it's bent and/or out of balance.
If a front wheel wobbles at high speed, it's bent and/or out of balance, and/or there may be loose joints in the steering linkage.

I'm looking at a burning hillside. There's just the odd lick of flame visible, but the way the smoke is rising out of the various gullies and whatnot, it looks a bit like volcanic vents.

I was awakened on Sunday morning by a flock of guinea fowl in my yard. I have no idea where they came from - they were obviously the domesticated kind (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domesticated_guineafowl) and they don't fly particularly well, so they can't have come from far off but I don't know anyone nearby who currently has any. Maybe they were running away from home? They hung around for about four hours and then walked off wherever.

Keep in mind that this is just after Easter and the black bunny may have been an ill-advised gift set free(mainly from mom and dad having to care for it.)
I saw an animal I couldn't identify on the street yesterday. It was about the size of a raccoon, but it wasn't a raccoon. It was gray all over. It was weird.
Who knows about the wildlife of SE Michigan?

Sounds like an opossum to me. Sort of looked like a giant rat? Y'all got 'possums?

Hey! Do they have opossum's in China? There was some "strange creature" that made the enws. It was captured coming out of the woods in Chna and looks like a "bald bear" but with a "kangaroo tail". The photo did look like a mangey bear with a werid tail, but I couldn't get a sense of scale from the pic. Now I'm wondering if it was a mangey 'possum.

I saw this line in a book I'm reading, Bonk by Mary Roach:
The largest penis bone is that of the walrus. The Inuit call it an oosik and used it as a war club.
No, it wasn't an opossum. I know what a possum looks like, you guys.
Okay, I think it was a woodchuck.
I tried to get a video on my iPod, but it scurried past before I could the video functioning.

I saw a car with graffiti on the side. In spray paint, huge letters,

Speaking of rabbits, I was at the zoo the other day and saw a bunny eating a carrot within the gorilla enclosure. I don't think I've ever seen a rabbit eating a carrot before, with the exception of Bugs Bunny.

Took the family to St. Croix for spring break.
The house we've rented is on a peninsula, with one road leading out there.
As we arrived home after dinner the first night, an animal ran across the road in the dark.
My first thought was "that was a mongoose", and I said so. My wife and children laughed at me, and made fun of me for 2 days until one showed up on our patio.
Later, we saw one sneaking around the bushes while playing golf. Us, not him.
I have pictures.
St. Croix has mongooses.
Scads of 'em.

And in a stunning turn of events, we now have actual volcanic ash in the skies!

This one was something my husband saw, but it was great.
There's a BBQ truck a couple of blocks away from my house on the weekends. Really good barbecue, and it makes the whole area around it smell heavenly. My husband was driving by, and noticed a woman walking her pot-bellied pig right by the truck. The pig was sniffing at the air, and had a look on his face like "Damn, I want some of whatever that guy is cooking!"
