I have a good high-speed Internet connection in my bookstore. I have a lousy Internet connection at home.

Using services like Netflix (which I already subscribe to) and Hulu, you can watch movies or TV shows without having to wait for them to mail you a DVD.

Is it possible to (legally) stream one of these videos to my notebook computer at work, and then hook it to my TV to watch later? Or to transfer it to my iPad so that I can watch it when I'm on an airplane?

I don't think so, not without violating the terms and conditions of the contract (http://www.hulu.com/terms):

Your License. Hulu is pleased to grant you a non-exclusive limited license to use the Hulu Services, including accessing and viewing the Content on a streaming-only basis through the Video Player, for personal, non-commercial purposes as set forth in these Terms.

You may not either directly or through the use of any device, software, internet site, web-based service or other means copy, download, stream capture, reproduce, duplicate, archive, distribute, upload, publish, modify, translate, broadcast, perform, display, sell, transmit or retransmit the Content unless expressly permitted by Hulu in writing.

Thanks for the Hulu info - I'd never checked them out. I'm still hoping there's either a way to do it using Netflix (since I'm already paying them a monthly fee) or some other flat-fee service.
