I confess to being a VH-1 reality show junkie and being more familiar with his reality-show self than I'd care to admit. But, he is a really charming guy and seems very kind--a bit icky when it comes to women and perhaps subconsciously misogynistic, but definitely a likeable guy. I wish him a speedy and complete recovery. His family (he has two young daughters) are in my thoughts as well.

Poison was always the bane of my existence, but I've gotta admit that I never had a problem with the members of the band, especially after their Behind the Music interviews and such. All of them, especially Bret, came across as fun-loving guys who never took themselves too seriously and managed to stay clean & sober (well...relatively speaking.)

Right now, it's being reported that the hospital has not commented if it is diabetes or the recent appendectomy that is connected to it. Perhaps they are not yet sure.

I had never heard of this guy until recently.
