As long as we're talking about magic...(The Illusionist, 2006)

Two questions:

1. How was the ghost trick done? I know it has something to do with mist and a projector, but that doesn't explain how the ghost boy walked through the crowd (as the people, who were taller, would eventually block the projection.)

2. I missed the opening sequence about the peach tree trick. What did it look like?

(1) That sounds right.

(2) As I remember it, it was an elaborate mechanical toy.

I thought that was a very good movie, but it only got so-so reviews. I thought it had better writing than the other magic movie out at the same time.
