Inspired by Czarcasm's Perfect Poll Test (http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=12856374), a somewhat less perfect poll:
How often do you vote in polls on the SDMB?

I see I'm getting some poll virgins here. It must be a good question :D

Never. Polls don't mean anything. You can find a poll to back up any argument you want to make.
4 out of 5 people know that.

Sometimes the polls don't apply to everyone. Sometimes I don't see them. Sometimes I don't care. Sometimes my reponse is "other" but I'm not in the mood to explain.

I've commented in poll threads, but don't think I've ever actually voted in one. Including this one.

Ditto. I just respond to other people's comments, unless I post some of my own.

I vote in most of the polls where my vote is ... uh ... hid from all the world. In polls where my vote is shown to all the world, I vote in none of them.
I hope those words are short 'nuff for you.

Quite short 'nuff, thank you! And thanks for your vote in the last choice in the poll!
(See, the ballot isn't so secret after all, as I learned many years ago as an activist -- as no less than a local returning officer -- in a political party, where everyone knew how everyone else had voted in "secret" ballots.)

Sometimes. It really depends on the poll. If it's something I have no idea or clue about, I'm not going to.
I always vote in the SDMB Poetry Sweatshop poll (http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=576336), though!

I am oh, so tempted to start a new thread that points to this one with a title something like "Do Not Post In This Thread" just to see how long it would take to get 50 posts. With my usual luck it might get 50 views, and 0 replies. Or get locked right after the OP.

Only when applicable.
I'd have went with the first one, except there are times when a poll says it only wants certain people to vote.
There are also those that don't have a good answer, but I consider making a post explaining a better answer as a vote for "Other".
I also find it odd that so many people never vote in polls. It just seems so rude. It takes almost no time, and helps answer a question from the OP (even if not definitively).
