iPod Home version ip40 won't turn on

I have only had this thing about two weeks and it was working fine until this morning. I had to unplug it to move my desk around, and now even though it's plugged in again, won't start up. I tried pressing the power button. I know the power strip is working because other things are plugged into it, plus I tried it on a different strip - the one this computer is hooked up to.

I have googled it but to no avail. Does anyone know how to make it work agaimn? I fear it may somehow be looking for a battery backup, which it hasn't had before.

Please help! I miss my music already.

Could you describe this thing in more detail? It doesn't sown like you're talking about an IPod.

It's a little stereo for the iPod.
And I realized I had kept all of the receipts and paperwork so I just went back to Walmart and exchanged it for a new one which apparently I shall never, ever unplug.

Actually, after I asked that question, I realized that I have one of those IHome things right in front of me, as I post, and that I use it all the time.
