From the Straight Dope front page (www.straightdope.com), I just tried to click on the threadspotting link "The hills are alive with the sound of snoring." and I got the message below:

Tastes of Chocolate, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Obviously, I've still got an active account, since I'm posting this. I'm not able to find that post via the board search engine, so maybe it's gone. If so, the Thread Spotting link should probably be removed.

The current Threadspotting link, described as "The hills are alive with the sound of snoring", takes me to a "you do not have permission to see this page" error, like you get for threads that have been wished off into the cornfield. Was it simultaneously that bad and that good, or was the wrong link put in?

No, pasted in the wrong link.

It is so Monday.

Sorry. Fixed now.
