Saw this (http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/nm/20010206/ts/crime_encryption_dc_3.html) on the Yahoo! wire today. It talks about how Bin Laden & Co. have been putting encrypted messages on internet message boards and chat rooms.

If that's true, it certainly sheds some light on this (http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=49992), doncha think?
