I've recently become aware of this art form. And, as a font fanatic, I love it. Two of the best examples I've seen:

Jonathan Coulton's Shop Vac applied to a video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4sOfO8Ei1g)with excellent letter and logo play.

Steven Fry on Language. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7E-aoXLZGY&feature=related)

Anyone have more?

Is it just that the words come up as someone says it, or do the words need to be animated (like in your first link, the 'tail' of the g in 'dog' wags)
If it's just the former, here're a couple:
Cee Lo Green's F*ck You video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAV0XrbEwNc) (language - beware)
Spanish Version (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmnIDgbE7AE&feature=channel), or German (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jzk_F_wqW9I&feature=channel)

And for a couple years now, Ford's been making these types of commercials (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnfE5zODgak) using Denis Leary's voice.

Terrific stuff which should be linked every time some Grammar Nazi is annoying you.
