Hi. I am looking for standup comedians to check out, preferably on youtube.
Here are 2 that I like:
Louis C.K.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8r1CZTLk-Gk
Joe Rogan

Bob Ducca

Look for some recent Paul F. Tompkins stuff (last five years or so). Also, if you like CK and Rogan you'd likely enjoy Dave Attell (from that old Insomniac show). Most comics that I've heard talk about how much they look up to Louie CK often mention Attell in the same list of comics they admire.

Patton (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01l1WIC9mBo) Oswalt (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDCjIjsZp_Y&feature=related) might be my current favorite stand-up.

Based on Louis CK and Joe Rogan, I'd say check out Doug Stanhope and Robert Schimmel (RIP).

With Rogan, C.K. and Patton Oswalt mentioned, I strongly recommend Mike Birbiglia. He's currently in NY doing a one-man off-broadway show, though.

Lavell Crawford (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whVIajNGgEA&feature=related) is one of the best I've seen.
Harland Williams (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SEMJeZNRqo&feature=fvwrel) might be the best I've seen.
I don't know of those videos do them justice.

Steven Wright is brilliant, as is Zack Galifianakis with his piano. Brian Regan is one who should get worldwide recognition. Don't forget to check out the classics, Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Lenny Bruce.
Yeah, Regain is a true comedian. I mean, the guy has been hilarious for years and he constantly finds new material.
Not my fav of all time, but a great guy.

Brian Regan, Kevin Hart, Bruce Bruce, Louis CK, Stephen Lynch, Greg Giraldo, Dave Attell and Mitch Hedberg are a few that my wife and I like quite a bit. You can also go to the Comedy Central website and see some of these guys if you can't find them on YouTube.

Eddie Izzard. Start with Dress To Kill.
Absolutely my favorite stand-up special! One of my other favorites is John Oliver.
To throw a couple of ladies into the mix I highly recommend Kathleen Madigan and Margaret Cho.

If you like Louis C.K., you'll probably love Bill Hicks. Also later day George Carlin (his early stuff is more whimsical)

Perhaps an acquired taste and better in half hour sections than quickfire routine but he is always interesting.

I mentioned a couple favorites upthread that I've seen in person. However, the greatest stand-up performance I've ever seen, on DVD or otherwise, is Bill Cosby's Himself. Nonstop hilarity.

Love Harland. Jim Gaffigan sorta reminds me of him.
Hey, a commercial just came on my TV telling me that Keifer Sutherland is on Broadway in That Championship Season. Jason Patric, Brian Cox and Chris Noth also were featured in the commercial. And then it (briefly) mentioned that it also starred Jim Gaffigan.
I also wanted to second Giraldo, Atell and Hedberg. Also that guy who I cannot remember his name. He sometimes travels with Foxworthy and The Cable Guy but he's not anything like them. Chomps a cigar and drinks heavily. Gah! I can't remember his name!

I'm going to continue to try to pimp Kyle Kinane, whose career seems to be taking off now. His album Death of the Party is very, very funny. He did a short Comedy Central special recently and was on John Oliver's standup show. That's not a lot of material but what there is is very good. I think you'd like him if you like Louis C.K.

Dave Chappelle is my long-standing favorite...he's got the greatest delivery I've ever heard. Watch his entire Killin Them Softly (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bq0Ce3UqKDs) show, from 2000 (links to the other parts in the sidebar).
Another guy I love, with a very different style, is Stewart Lee (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybQCNb4AuW4).

Russell Peters. I've been a fan for years (and just saw him at Casino Rama this past weekend).
And I'll throw my hat in for Jim Gaffigan. Saw him in Toronto a few years ago, and I literally had to take hold of myself and stop for a minute. I thought I was going to pass out I was laughing so hard.

Another vote for Eddie Izzard, as well.

Also Frankie Boyle, but I don't think I'll link to him.

I'll second most of the names mentioned upthread, and add Dylan Moran (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eY0A-15JQ8k&feature=related). I have to say, he's my all-time favorite out of the lot.
This is a long shot, but I wonder. I like all these guys, and I also like, of all people, Kathy Griffin. Check her out--I'm curious if I'm as strange as I think.
If you do like her, try Joel McHale, too.

Oh, and to add to the list, besides the already mentioned Eddie Izzard, check out Mitch Hedberg. The guy was a great joke writer, don't let the stoner delivery fool you.
Look for Anthony Jesselnik. He killed at the Trump Roast.

Bill Engvall keeps his comedy relatively clean (relatively!) and I appreciate that. I know that a lot of folks don't care, but frankly, I think it takes a lot more cleverness to maintain that kind of humor. It's all too easy to be "funny" when somebody resorts to dirty jokes or toilet humor.

Well then you should like Brian Regan, it is one of the things I do like about his show. I feel I could take my teen daughter to his shows, which I couldn't say for a lot of comedians! But Brian Regan's stuff is pretty clean and everyday kind of activities and he does a good job with it.

I recently saw Dan Telfer open for Patton Oswalt, and he just slayed me. His act is a very nerdy, science-oriented comedy. I think Dopers would probably really appreciate it.

For my money, Louis C.K. and Patton Oswalt are the best comics around today, but since were mentioned within the first three posts:
Hannibal Buress (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uIR8ir3ioqg) didn't appeal to me at first, but once I got accustomed to his delivery style, I liked him a lot. He's one of the hotter rising stars today, I believe.
Greg Warren (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AXRQTY73DY) deserves more attention than he apparently gets. I love his "one-star people" schtick.
And probably no one will agree with me on this, but I think Neil Hamburger (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xFdoS4Xz4A) has the best delivery of just about any comic I've seen. His jokes aren't even funny, he's all delivery. Amazing.

I'm going to third David Cross here. He, Patton Oswalt and Louis C.K. are my trifecta of comedy. They all consistently make me laugh to the point where I can't breathe anymore.
Also, for you Patton Oswalt fans out there, I highly recommend checking out the audiobook of his new book, "Zombie Spaceship Wasteland." It's both hilarious and thought provoking.
A few other great ones that I haven't seen mentioned.
Dana Gould (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeNAG11lElA) - Absolutely hilarious. Would probably break into that trifecta (fourfecta?), expect he's mainly a writer and doesn't have a lot of stand-up out there. He was bigger in the 90s but he's making a comeback. But if you have Netflix, I highly recommend checking out Let Me Put MY Thoughts In You. (http://www.amazon.com/Dana-Gould-Let-Put-Thoughts/dp/B001NPK5BK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1305133072&sr=8-2) It starts out kinda lame relationship humor, but then it takes a hilarious dark turn 12 minutes in and it never goes back.
Maria Bamford (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uTM_HIabUs)- My number 5 comedian. Easily the funniest female comedian out there. In fact, I don't even like saying that because she transcends the traditional label of "Female comedian."
Brian Posehn (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWJ73PKzcFQ) - Great nerd humor. Along with Patton Oswalt and Maria Bamford, he's part of the Comedians of Comedy. They had a movie (also on Netflix, check it out!), a tv show, and several specials. Previously mentioned (and always hilarious) Zach Galifinakis was kind of the "Shemp" of the group, he's since been replaced by
Eugene Mirman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5xHbumPWJ8)- I don't know how to describe this guy. One of the most alternative "alternative comics" out there. Best known as the landlord on Flight of the Conchords, also featuring
Rhys Darby (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhqoJML7baU) - Hilarious. Kiwi. Robot Noises. Rounding out the FotC alums we have
Kristen Schaal (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gl4cCCDqOyE) and Arj Barker (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-WU0pV2AXE) who was in the marijuana-logues with
Doug Benson (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUM69fH7FaE) - You don't have to be a pot smoker to enjoy him. He's hilarious no matter what. I have no segue for
Jon Mulany (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7iEDyTqubiM) - New young comedian. I can't wait to see where he might go, because he is hilarious.
Jimmy Pardo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMIhwW82JWs) - One of the most "skilled" comedians I've ever seen. He's the opening comedian for Conan, has his own podcast "Never Not Funny" and he tours. I saw him twice in two months and he had completely different material each time.
There's more, but I've been looking up comedians for 45 minutes now and I should stop.

OP: I really don't like Joe Rogan but Louis C.K. is definitely a good one.
You absolutely must watch Norm MacDonald's special "Me Doing Stand-Up"
Marc Maron's albums can be tough because they're so raw, but as far as sheer talent goes, no living comic compares to him.
