I use this username just about everywhere anymore...fine and dandy, except for one thing. See, I met someone recently (playing Words With Friends, of all places). Devastatingly smart girl, beautiful, intriguing...we're ridiculously compatible.

The other day she sends me a text:
I just googled "Hal Briston". Found some interesting posts about sheep. This something I should know about?

Hal, the upside of all this is you can tell her you have the softest hands around from all that lanolin. Of course, being the dyed in the wool man that you are, you probably have lanolin over your entire body by now so it's not just your hands that are perpetually soft ...

When I first started dating my husband I gave him a link to my website (opalcat.com) and he proceeded to Google "opalcat" and apparently there is another opalcat out there who posts on boards devoted to dealing with living with AIDS. He got worried enough that I had my doctor write a note and gave it to him, saying I was AIDS-free. :O
