I'm not seeing any [del] [del] tags? Where would those be kept, exactly?

Or did you mean to simply reproduce them as you've presented them?

elbows - you didn't close the second tag. They're not "stored" anywhere - you just have to type them in.

though it doesn't work in all browsers, apparently

Although that does run into the issue of properly contrasting colors.
