Fantastic craftmanship on Etsy: upcycled elfin coats made from old sweaters..

Several needlework artists on Etsy offer for sale coats made from dozens, even hundreds of pieces of recycled sweaters. Some of these are very wearable, even to an office. Others are truly works of art. Recycling never looked so beautiful!

This blue and black coat (http://www.etsy.com/listing/65936171/available-now-diamond-dust-short-and) is sassy, modern and urban
While this one (enchanted Peacock (http://www.etsy.com/listing/67081935/reserved-for-willowtree02-the-enchanted)) is a work of art fit for a movie or a festival.

Gah, Etsy is so addictive. Now I bought this purse made out of colored felt pompons, (http://www.etsy.com/listing/74613857/classic-gumball-felt-bag-by-yummi-unique). When i was overweight, I didn't want to add bulk with bags and purses, but now that I lost weight, I'm beginning to see the fun of purses.

I also treated myself to this tie-dye shirt (http://www.etsy.com/listing/53838093/tie-dye-twisted-front-ladies-t-shirt-in), skirt (http://www.etsy.com/listing/58545747/tie-dye-cotton-skirt-in-moss-green-gold?ref=v1_other_1) and bag (http://www.etsy.com/listing/61649453/tie-dye-rainbow-swirl-hobo-hippie-bag?ref=v1_other_2). I don't know how good the quality is of stuff sold at festivals nowadays, but this looks like very high quality work. All one-of-a kind stuff. Not that fit for the office, but fun anyway.
