Sorry for my absence. Week from hell. I've had a migraine since Tuesday from stress. Not letting up anytime soon. Hugs to all.

Soapy - maybe it's your new superpowers coming to the surface (isn't that how half these things happen? in a chem lab explosion?) ;) {{{{{{feel better}}}}}}}

Migraine with visual components going strong on day 4. Just realized the trouble reading and flashes of light were part of a visual migraine. :smack:
so, no superpowers, then? too bad. ;)

Good Mornin' Y'all! Up and caffienatin'. *YAWN* 'Tis 64 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 80. Also, it's rainyish out. I say rainyish cause it's rainin' but very lightly at the moment. Forecast says rain today and tomorrow. We shall see.

I went AWOL for most of yestiddy. Mostly I goofed off around da cave. The beast stew turned out gooooooood!!! It was dindin last night and will be N.O.L. today. The rest has been put into containers and frozen for later use. It's so nice to have stuff like that to thaw and nuke.

Soapy hope the haid is better.

Herbs yay for brother visit!

BBBobbio with stuff like that there, more cussin' is always needed IMHO.

Everybody else, yays, boos, hugs, grope, noogies, trouts, pointy sticks, how you doin's as needed.

I go in search of more caffiene and the feedin' of rumbly tummy. Then purtification for deheathenization must commence. Today I am a Lector (not the cannibal kind).

Happy Sunday Y'all!

Awake, freezing my butt off. It's 54° and feels like about 45° in. Love the house and love the wooded lot but sometimes it would be nice to get some sun in here to warm things up a tad. Not that it'd be helping right now because the sun hasn't finished rising yet.

Off to the final flea market of the year at Hubbardston with my mom and step dad. I have to drive because their car is overheating. This should be interesting. My step dad wont drive anyone else's vehicle and my mom gets very carsick in the back seat so my step dad will have to climb in, bad back and knees and all. He might decide to stay home. I don't think he even likes flea markets. He just goes because my mom doesn't drive if she can help it.

I am very tired. Slept a somewhat normal schedule on Friday and Saturday. Tried again last night but the body and the dogs weren't cooperating. I got an hour sleep before the dogs jumped on my head and woke me up. Took me 5 hours to fall back to sleep.

Wow, I missed a whole bunch of posts from yesterday. It's really cool that you know where your family was back then, Shadow.

I'm posting from my new iPad. Yay! My iBook is very rattly and I really wanted something I could take to DC with me on Wednesday. (I'd considered whether the iTouch would be enough and decided it wouldn't be.

Gotta say this is a very cool thing. Although typing really long posts with lots of coding will take a while.

Gotta go find breakfast.

Hugs all.

It's raining!!! Good thing we decided not to go to the beach. :) 60% chance all day. w00t!

Caffeination in progress, and it's almost time to make our traditional big Sunday breakfast.

The dogs are tracking mud all over the house, and all over me. <sigh> Oh well, the rain is so very welcome, I'll deal with it.

Morning all!

We are making brekkie as we speak - well mr ems is making biscuits from scratch then we will make bacon and eggs. Or I might have an omlette......decisions decisions.

I am headed to clean the little bathroom in a bit we scrubbed the house yesterday vacummed, steam mopped, kitchen sparkles and dusting and there is only the the bathroom sinks left to do. May as well go do them.

We went out for lunch yesterday to a local all you can eat catfish place. mr ems hurt himself on the catfish. I had a big plate of salad and a bunch of shrimp and some corn fritters. Yummy! It has rained here since about 3PM yesterday. We desperately needed it.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone!

Afternoon all!

I know exactly where my family were in 1830-not just what country, (England, all of 'em for hundreds of years), but what village on me mum's side- 'cos they're mostly still there! Have a big family farm an their own church wi graveyard an allsorts, been there for ages and married their cousins constantly... Makes tracin' em a bit like shootin' fish in a barrel (if a little confusing when they have the same names so much), even if it does make me want to re-count my toes afterwards.

T'other side worked in't cotton mills oop north, and lived about 3 generations to a house, though I think that house went when the area got poshified. The family name is a local dialect word, and it seems they've been in the area for hundreds of years, if not more.

Anyway- sad news; my magical mystery fish, he that reappeared on me, was ded in the tank last night :( Can't say I'm totally surprised; he didn't look very well, but I thought he was starting to look better. Was going to get some more fishies tomorrow, but I s'pose I'd better leave it a bit now, just in case he'd caught something nasty (other than death).

Should be going to do my washing, but I have to carry it down to the laundrette, 'cos we don't have a washing machine and it's raining, so I'm desperately thinking of excuses. I can probably make it one more day before I smell unbearable.

Happy sunday all :D !

Up and caffeinated. I'm off to deheathanated, then do laundry. I foresee vacuuming today, there's enough undercoat coming off Teddie the Sheppard to reupholster half the dogs in the MMP.

I'm squeaking in a morning post, but just barely. We slept in again, then went to Lenny's for their breakfast buffet, with a stop afterwards to fill my car and get a couple of things at Lowe's.

Speaking of dead fishies, I only see one of our clownfish. Either the other one got really shy, or it died overnight amongst the rocks. That would be a bummer... :(

Lots of weird dreams last night, involving, among other things, a bunch of engineers I used to work with joining with me on some project. We were this >< close to solving the problem when FCD's hideous snoring woke me up. When I drifted back off, the scene changed to a farm and my nephew was there - as a 10-y/o (he's 17 now) and that morphed into a cruise ship where we sailed up to the end of a river in France, then backed out, and some Navy captain was hitting on me, and there was a pirate show, and for some reason, I had an impossibly hard time finding my cabin. In fact, I woke up before I ever did find it.

Heck of a way to start the day.

Today's plans include figuring out the final layout of my crocheted squares so I can finish building the afghan, hauling a few things from the garage to the basement for FCD, and maybe pressure washing more of the front pavement. It's supposed to get near 80 today and tomorrow, then the rain returns.

Good to see you again, tarra! Sounds like you had a great time with your bro!

Feel better, soapy! In fact, all you sickies and gimps better feel better and fast! That's an order, dammit!!! :p

Happy Sunday! :D

I'm all deheathenated and have had N.O.L.. We reverted to heathen ways and snuck out of church after Communion instead of stayin' for everybody to finish and do the final prayers, hymns and such. That's called gettin' a head start on next week's deheathenization. :D

'Tis rainin'! A good rain too. Thus I feel a nappy poo comin' on. OYKW has gone to his place to do laundry and such. Bet he nappy poo's too. Also, I need to do some defilthyfyin' of da cave, so that shall take place after nappy poo time.

Laterz!

Turns out the other clown is alive - just hiding in a corner.

Taz is at the front door yowling at a tabby cat who's sitting on the front porch staring at him. Such drama... :D

Our dinner last night was a smashing success. Our friends loved it. My one friend who has been emphatic about sticking to her diet (with huge success), ate FOUR enchiladas last night. Her husband take a plate home to eat today while watching football, and our other friend also took a plate home.

I warned them they'd be pretty mushy, because you pretty much have to eat them when they come out of the oven, but they insisted and I was happy to let them take the stuff home. We still have quite a bit left in one our dishes too. My hubby plans to happily scarf some for lunch.

We had a great time overall, and, the taters household ruled at 99 again. We took two out of three games.

I don't plan to do much, if anything today. I am plum tuckered out. I was on my feet all day yesterday with the meal prep and cleaning.

The meal and my friends' enjoyment of it was worth it, but I deserve a day of sloth.

I hope your head is better today, Soapy.

You're nicer than I would have been in that letter, Bobbio.

It's gray and wet out, but it's supposed to dry out a little today. However, the rain returns with a vengeance tomorrow.

Flea market was a huge success. I found a totally awesome desk which I hope to have replace the fugly and wobbly Staples $100 special I'm using right now. The new one is big and blocky wood and it matches my two end tables and fits perfectly in the log cabin. It had one small break, which Sweetie is fixing as I type. He's so nice. He glued it together and since we have no clamps, he is standing there holding it for 30 minutes.

Lunch is ham salad sammich, doritos, cookies, and milk. Yum.

Most of the front walk has been pressure-washed - it looks purdy good, methinks. We had leftover PapaJohn for late lunch. I'm going to lay out my afghan squares and start putting it together. FCD was working in his shop till his back attacked - he's watching TV and surfing now.

It's a leisurely afternoon at FairyChatEstates!

My nastygram. The firm name is changed to protect the contemptible.

Does it need more cussing?

Sir, I bow before your nastygram skills. *bows lowly*

In the 1830's part of my dad's family had been in this country for about 50 or so years, my mom's family had been here for about 150 years, and the rest of my mom's family was in Germany somewhere.

I have no idea what my family was doin' in the 1830's. I'm even fuzzy about what they were up to in the 1930's. :D

I napped for a little bit then started on cave defilthyfication. I still need to mop but I needed to sit down and chill for a bit. I's tahrd!

Nastygram tweaked, with bonus barbs and cusswords:

Dear Mr. Shyster:

I notice your letterhead states that your firm is fluent in French. Good, because there will be plenty of it before I'm done.

Let me start by stating for the record that the practice of trolling accident and traffic record to solicit business is one I find particularly loathsome. If and when I need a lawyer I have better ways of finding one than waiting for some damned ambulance chaser to solicit me bulk rate.

As far as my case is concerned, you must be out of your fucking mind. Pay some clod $200 to represent me in an attempt to beat a $151 speeding ticket that I will plead guilty to? I laugh in your face. That cop caught me fair and square, and I have no intent to fight it. I didn't just fall off the turnip truck, bub, and I have better things to do with my hard-earned money than waste it on unneeded legal representation.

Finally, you sons of bitches can't even spell my name right.

With a gruff snort of contempt,

I can almost guarantee it. Elevated BP is a result of acute pain. You'll still need to take BP meds for it, though.

You're gonna have to settle for {{{{{}}}}} instead of a :goose: in the interim. Don wanna inflict any more hurt, even if it is mild and momentary... ;)

Never, ever, ever never po BBBobbio. :D

Well done Sir! Well done!

Da cave is mopped and officially defilthyfied. Go Me!

Taters I was gonna say earlier re enchiladas that yep they are best eaten right out of the oven. Well, ya know, put 'em on a plate first. However, soggy enchiladas for N.O.L. the next day is a nummy thing.

Bad, Bobbio! Although I notice the hiccups seem to have abated. :D Nice letter, though.

I've done pretty much nothing all day. And am about to fall asleep so that I can get up early, start some laundry, go in to work for a bit, and then come back to do some stuff around the house and make sure I have everything ready for vacation.

I'm getting excited!

Hugs.

Was OYKW so pleased because it was bacon and therefore involved nekkid frying?
