I clicked on a thread in the Pit that had been moved to some other forum and got a message that I didn't have permission to access that page. I saved a copy of the message if a mod wants to see it.

Generally that means the thread has been moved to the moderation area, probably because the OP was a troll or a sock.

I suspect a spammer's thread was disappeared, and you just happened by during that brief window after that's been done but before the move notification was deleted.

Just my guess, though.

Most likely a thread by a spammer or sock. Those get wished into the cornfield.

Ah. So if you all decide troll or sock, will the thread go poof?

When a thread is moved, there are options to move it while leaving a redirect, or not leaving a redirect. Sometimes the wrong option gets picked and then the mod has to go back and fix it whenever he or she notices it. (I did it a bunch.)
