Here are just some of the purses and bags that my mom is giving up. If you need any more information on any of them (dimensions, more detailed pictures, etc.) please let me know and I'll do my best to find out what you need. I don't know the brands on some because they don't have tags. I also don't know the material on some. If I know it, I'll put it in the description.

Shipping - will be determined once I know what you want and where you live.

Payment - paypal, personal check or money order. Personal check and money order must clear before I'll ship anything.

Cost - listed with the item and IS open for negotiation.

#1 - $10 I have no idea what the material is or what brand it is. The zippers say either Victory or just the letter K. That thing hanging in the front feels like a light weight. As far as I can tell, it's not magnetic and is just supposed to dangle.

#2 - $10 Kathy Van Zeeland

***SOLD***
#3 - $20 Ralph Lauren - Leather with side and inside pockets

#5 - $20 B Makowski - Leather outside with polyester lining inside

http://i862.photobucket.com/albums/ab183/spike1380/Decluttering/041.jpg
#6 - $20 - Briefcase. No idea on brand or material. It has metal feet to protect the bottom and lots of room inside for a laptop and other work stuff.

#7 - $10 - Ellen Tracy - Leather. Nice bag but has some white spots inside. I have no clue what they are.

#8 - $15 - LuLu - PVC

#9 - $10 - No markings that I can see but a cute little bag

***SOLD***
#10 - $10 - I suspect this is leather but I can't confirm that. The straps are cool - can be zipped or unzipped to make 1 or 2.

#11 - $10 - Rage. Another one that might be leather but I can't confirm.

#12 - $20 - Pottery Barn Kids diaper bag. This one is wicked nice - almost makes me wish I had a kid.

http://i862.photobucket.com/albums/ab183/spike1380/Decluttering/054.jpg
#13 - $10 - Express clutch. Pink with gold accents.

***SOLD***
#14 - $10 - Insane amount of pockets for such a small bag.

http://i862.photobucket.com/albums/ab183/spike1380/Decluttering/060.jpg
http://i862.photobucket.com/albums/ab183/spike1380/Decluttering/064.jpg
#15 - $15 - Samsonite backpack. It has a main pocket with great padding against the back but doesn't have padding like you'd find in a bag designed to hold a laptop. So, your back wont hurt but a laptop might not be super protected.

Dibs on #7. It looks a bit darker toward the bottom of the bag, is that just the photo or is it "faded" at the top? PM your address and I'll send a check, shipping would be to California.

As far as I can tell, it's not faded. But, the lighting in my house is horrendous and everything is brown so I'll have to get a better look in the morning, some place with real lighting.

By the way - #7 is still available.

It doesn't look it in the picture but it's fairly weighty. Imagine an old fashioned doctor's bag, with the reinforcing at the top so when you open it it stays open. This bag is like that.

What are the dimensions of #10?

I grabbed #10 from the spare bedroom so I could measure it. I got distracted. I then spent half an hour looking all over for the bag, knowing that I put it next to my desk.

After driving myself crazy for half an hour, I realized that I'm an idiot and I had actually grabbed #11 from the spare bedroom and I kept looking at it, knowing it was the wrong bag but not knowing why it was sitting on my desk. :smack:

Anyway, I'll be linking to some more detailed pictures of how #10 opens but in the meantime, the basic dimensions are:

top to bottom - 12"

side to side (at the bottom) - 9"

Side to side (at the top) - 5"

Front to back - 5"

There is a diagonal pocket on the front, smaller than the main pockets. There is a small pocket between the main pockets, which is big enough for a cell phone or wallet. The two main pockets are about 12" deep and 9" wide at the bottom, 5" wide at the top.

What kind of wood paneling is that in the background? Pine?

congodwarf
01-09-2012, 05:59 PM
I don't know if it counts as paneling. I live in a log cabin but I don't know what kind of wood it is. My whole house has that wood (except the bathroom). How do you tell what kind of wood it is if you weren't there when the tree was chopped down?

He's just trying to throw you off the scent. He's really looking at the purses.

#14 looks super cool. What are the dimensions of that one?

congodwarf
01-13-2012, 09:36 AM
When it's all closed up the dimensions are:

side to side - 11"
top to bottom - 7-1/2"
front to back - 4"

The pockets from front to back:

On front: 8" wide x 5" high thin pocket (maybe for a phone or thin wallet? with a small zippered pocket on the front of the purse (change maybe?)

Behind that: 11" x 6-1/2" pocket that fully zips open to reveal a crapload of pockets and other stuff (checkbook holder, credit card slots, space for coupons, key ring, zippered plastic pouch for cosmetics, and another big pocket).

Behind that: Main body of the purse which contains

section 1 -
1. big pocket (no closure)
2. big pocket (zip closure)
3. big pocket (no closure)

section 1 -
1. big pocket (no closure)
2. big pocket (zip closure) with smaller zip pocket inside it
3. big pocket (no closure)

back: 11" x 6" pocket with snap closure (not magnetic)

It has two hand straps, no shoulder strap. It has a metal loop next to one of the straps, which I thought was for attaching a shoulder strap but there's only one so I suspect it's a key hook.

Despite all the pockets, the purse isn't particularly heavy but I can't be specific because I can't find my dang scale. But, I can see this thing easily becoming a back breaker if loaded up to its full capacity.

Are you willing to ship outside the US? I love the bag in #3, but I'm in France...

congodwarf
01-14-2012, 02:53 PM
Sure. I've already shipped one to Ireland and soon to be one to Canada. The shipping will be more expensive but I learned from my Ireland experience that first class is the least expensive way to go. If you PM me your town and postal code, I can find out exactly how much it would be on Monday and you can decide if it's not too much.

Just for point of reference - first class to Ireland was $17 US and priority was $30 US but guaranteed delivery in 6-10 days. First Class actually got there in 10 days too, even with 2 holidays but I can't guarantee it'll be that fast again.

#5 Dimensions for LurkerInNJ

Left to right - 14"
Top to Bottom - 16"
Front to Back - about 2"

The total length of the strap is about 16" but the arm space is only about 6".
There is a zip pocket on one side and one inside with 2 non-zip pockets. The lining is a brown and black animal print. The lining and tag say B. Makowsky, as does the leather tap attached to one of the pockets inside.

Just to update, the bags that have been sold have been removed from the OP - to make browsing easier.

10 arrived a few days ago - kept forgetting to pop in and say thanks, it's exactly what I was looking for.
