Moving this post to MPSIMS. It was originally posted to a two-year-old debate about toupees.

Sticking with the zombie theme, here (http://www.salon.com/1999/11/22/toupees/) is an article from 1999 in which someone found a 10-22% rate of hairpieces in the Senate. Don't know if anyone has replicated the study more recently.

It may be there used to be a publicly available archive in Washington D.C. detailing such matters, but was lost in the great fire. Presumably, much of the archive had been transferred to digital media before the blaze, and is still kept current by the government, but public access to this database has long been prohibited in accordance to some Act or another.

Are you implying that they're trying to sweep the secret under the rug?

Why just Senators? That way you miss out on Jim "Chinstrap" Traficant. (http://toughsledding.files.wordpress.com/2010/02/jimtraficant.jpg)

If someone had a list like this I'd have to wonder about them, truly.

I watch a lot of political tv, and the guest talking heads are a parade of bad wigs, comb-overs, hair plugs, comb-forwards and a huge gallery of regrettable hairstyles. It would be quicker to list the politicians who have decent hair.

Not sure about toupees, but didn't Joe Biden have a pretty botched-up hair transplant? Since then he looks better-must have gone to a guy who charged a bit more than $5.00/plug.
BTW-does Donald Trump have real hair? He looks like he's wearing a dead animal on his head.:D

If we stretched it out to local state legislatures, you can add Indiana State Rep. Pat Bauer (http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jmndR6rMLgw/TxcjBdy4AbI/AAAAAAAABfc/2WSqc12fOdw/s1600/thief.jpg) to the list. One of the local op-ed cartoonists always shows him with a price (http://www.capitolandwashington.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Varvel.jpg) tag (http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_lHPPhOSC0bk/Si_RvzEupFI/AAAAAAAAEps/nxPwrtIbqGU/s400/varvel_spelling_bee.jpg) hanging (http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rQOTvaQshmo/TWceVCZSxMI/AAAAAAAAGIM/s6SR4CXhuWs/s1600/varvel_democrats_at_work.jpg) from (http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_lHPPhOSC0bk/Rg3ZAr_xThI/AAAAAAAAATk/C6QrOcCGEak/s400/varvel_property_taxes.jpg) it (http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4Ho9U6eJ9mE/TZPhPrcYdmI/AAAAAAAAGN8/A4DtIP-BQDI/s1600/varvel_back_home_again.jpg). (I'm a Democrat and like Bauer, but I can't help but find that hilarious.)
