Pax East was this weekend. Unlike accounts of Anime Boston, there were only a small percentage of people in costumes. We figured out what games most of the people playing dress up were inspired by...but not one guy.
He was dressed in black spandex from head to foot. And twirling a small black frying pan. Um...help?

Man, you get an interesting assortment of images when you google "spandex frying pan." No help answering the OP, but dang.

Mr. Game and Watch (http://oyster.ignimgs.com/wordpress/www.ign.com/10271/2011/03/200px-Game_and_Watch_Chef_SSBB-1.png), from Nintendo (Smash brother's series more recently), is my best guess. One of his attacks uses a frying pan. It's an annoying attack that n00bs like to spam non stop :D

Both Dead Rising and Left 4 Dead (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGQzCENPlqs) feature frying pans as weapons, so it could be either of those, but neither have much to do with head to toe spandex. Dead Rising does let you change into whatever random clothes (http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f90/djdouge/deadrising22011-08-0714-35-17-57.jpg) you can find in the shopping mall, though, so spandex may be in there somewhere.
On further thought, I think drewtwo99's guess is more likely.

Are you saying you went and didn't take pictures.
I got pictures, but I'm afraid I didn't see that guy.

If I'd seen someone at a costume party in the 80's carrying a cast-iron frying pan, I'd assume they were a fan of the movie Eating Raoul. Though I doubt that's what this guy at Pax was about.

Thanks for the clues, folks.
Are you saying you went and didn't take pictures. http://on.fb.me/Hygy6V As I said in a recent thread, I don't take pictures of people, so I didn't bring my camera.
So you were there too? How badly do you want Primal Carnage (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Primal_Carnage) now? I don't play multi-player games too often, but I'm willing to make an exception for this and maybe The Secret World (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Secret_World).

Honestly, I'm coming at it from the other perspective. I also don't play MMOs that much, but Secret World looks like it may get me. Primal Carnage I find less interesting.

Ha! If I limited myself to games I don't suck at, I'd be stuck with Tic-Tac-Toe.
