View Full Version : Local cops must be way behind on ticket quotas

Saw about 20 of them on the local highways ready to pull speeders. Or maybe they are just ticked they have to work today. I even saw a cop standing beside the road with a radar gun.

Quotas? Possibly. But there is a lot of traffic today, so keeping people's speed down is actually a good idea from a road safety view point.

actually traffic was very light so that might make it easier to catch people. I would guess traffic will be heavier later today as people head back to town

Some departments put extra people on during holidays in an attempt to cut down on drunk driving. Part of that is being very visible.

Yeah, I'm in a tiny area and ALL weekend there were cops in the oddest places, even roadblocks in the middle of town.
Remember, this is the first real BIG travel weekend of the year; there will always be more surveillance at this time.
