Sigs not showing up

How come signatures aren't showing up for me? I have the "show signatures" box checked in the User CP, but I can't see anybody's. Not even my own. I've seen profiles of others who have a signature on their profile page, but I don't see one below their posts.

I never paid much attention to this until I tried to make one. I've tried two different browsers and they're still not showing up.

This is because sigs showing is not the default for the board when someone makes a post. They have to actually click the box to make it show, and there is a courtesy rule that asks posters only use their signature once per topic (but most don't really seem to bother doing this at all).
