C'mon ... admit it ... who forget to set their clocks up this morning?

ChiefScott

I did.

But luckily I normally arrive to the ship an hour before I have to. I did make muster. I also embarassed two of my young sailors who'd forgotten to advance their clocks. Sometimes I can be so... superior.

Good thing I double-checked the clocks yesterday evening. While he was waiting for me to get ready to go out, my friend did me a favor and reset all the clocks for me.

He moved them all an hour back. No malicious intent here: he honestly thought we set the clocks back in the spring.

I've re-reset everything exept the VCR (can't find the fershluggin' booklet).

I rememebered, but only because I was reminded last night. I didn't know it was today. Really, I didn't.

I didn't forget but that's only because I was at work and they changed them automatically for me!

Nope, I remembered.

But part of that could have something to do with the insomnia I was suffering which caused me to be on the computer when the time change came, and saw the time advance on it's own... Makes it a little harder to forget!!!

The two clocks I live by - my alarm clock and the PC - both set themselves automatically. Neener, neener, neener.

Of course, it will take me three months to get the rest of the clocks in the house set right.

Okay, I admit it, I completely forgot to set my clock forward this morning.

I did, however, set it back about a week ago. I live in the southern hemisphere. :)

(sigh)

I admit it. I totally forgot. When I got downstairs this morning and booted up, I saw the time on my computer had automatically changed, and for a second I thought, "What the .....?" Then I remembered.

Probably wouldn't have remembered it at all if it hadn't been for that.

I sometimes have a sieve for a brain.

The cable company did it on the tv, but my computer didn't even when I went online. I always change my clocks when I wake up [unless I absolutely have to be somewhere] so I can get my full sleep. You cannot mess with my sleep -- woe to thee if ye try!

totally. I even set my alarm 'cause the kid (godhelpusall) is borrowing the car for a 'road trip'. So, I'm asleep, he comes in, says "mom". Now, in direct contrast to all the males in the household (including the damn cat), I actually respond to my name, and awaken. I look at my clock, see it's before my alarm is due to go off and start protesting until "duh" and ok, I'm up.

I didn't change my clocks .. I didn't forget to change them .. and I'm not going to change them.

I live in Phoenix: we don't have daylight savings time. :(

Yay for you Mauvise! Daylight savings is the scourge of the world. Damn I hate all the mess it causes with timezone calculations. That's the second time in a week I've had to adjust my thinking...

And as soon as I post this I'm going to fix up the time zone in my profile. *grumbles*

I didn't have to. When we last set them BACK, I never changed the one by my bed. Just too lazy. I've been mentally subtracting an hour ever since. This morning, I wake up, and the only adjustment I have to make is to my mental habit of subtracting 60 minutes.

There's something pathetic in this...

Not I! I was awake when my PC clock adjusted itself with a big notification window so I just went around and did all the clocks.

Nope I live in Saskatchewan, we don't change time so I don't have to worry about that. :D

Well, must admit I was more than aware of needing to change clocks...and was wide awake when my computer changed itself for me. There's something malicious, though, about looking at a clock that tells you it's only a bit after 3 and knowing it's a bit after 4 and you really ought to be in bed. ::glares menacingly at the the alarm clock:: Oh well, I'm doing remarkably well this morning for the amount of sleep I got, so I suppose it's okay.

I got early this morning (I'm the early riser in the family) and changed all of the clocks by moving them forward one hour. Then I settled down to read the paper and listen to NPR. A little while later, the local announcer came on and said it was 9 a.m. I looked at the clock and one of the clocks I had just changed said 10 a.m.

As near as I can figure, before my wife went to bed last night she changed them also.

So then I had to go through out the house and change all of the clocks back again.

Jeez, I hate daylight savings time.

that reminded me last night. Maybe it was Euty's thread on no April Fool's sock puppets?

I would have probably forgotten anyway, but imthjckaz set them all before he came to bed.

I live there. Don't you love this, too?

Also, have you changed the clock for this message board. It changed on me and I can't get it back to the right time, even after trying every conceivable number. Even the negatives.

I was working last night so I got the fun job of explaining to all the semi-intoxicated folks "Yes, we will be open until 5 A.M. tonight...No, we're not closing early..ect...."

Unfortunatly, both of the bartenders had to be in Manhattan at 9 A.M. for some kind of fantasy baseball draft thing, so the cook and I had to work alone for the last 2 hrs. I got home about 7 A.M this morning.
Add to that, of of the bartenders from last night also works tonight, and due to the "draft-thing" and his "real" job may not be in onight, so I may have to work alone all night.

Really missing that extra hour of sleep right about now.

oh gosh ryan you just reminded me of this:

centuries ago, working at a correction center, it was our first 'daylight savings time' day. the staff that had the midnight shift did not change the clocks. Why? "because no one authorized me to do so". So, every hour on the hour, in the count log, she dutifully noted "Note, the clocks have STILL not been changed". The ladies started getting up. They knew a good scam when the saw one, so all day, each sign in and out was subject to the 'real' time clarification error "well, I'll just have to put this time down 'cause that's what it says....". The day shift reported in. Since the midnight shift carefully explained to her that she hadn't received authorization, the clocks hadn't been changed.

so, the day shift kept it up. "please note, the clocks have still not been changed". Afternoon shift came in, same thing. Finally, the person on the next midnight, upon hearing 'the clocks have not been changed" reached over and changed it. Sheesh. Every time afterwards, we carefully explained "Yes, you will need to change the clocks".

I forgot.

At about 9:45 some ding dong (happens to be family) called me, and I am thinking? WTF? You know better than to call me before 10:30 am on a weekend...geez!

I woke up around 11:00 looked at the caller ID and it said they called at 10:45! Took about a minute before I realized it was Daylight Savings time. These are the days I wish our state followed Arizona.

I didn't, but I refuse to observe Daylight Savings Time> I just look at it as class starting at 8:10 am instead of 9:10 for some rediculous reason tomorrow morning.

I reset the clock in my bedroom last night before going to bed, and my parents took care of the rest of the house, but I forgot to change my watch until I got to work, and I still haven't figured out how to change the one in my car.

Set the microwave clock last spring and never changed it back, so it's right.
My PC clock reset itself.
Reset my watch when I got up this morning.
My alarm clock I won't reset until I go back to bed.
The clocks on the VCR and the stereo were never set in the first place, so they continue to just blink 12:00 at me.
Will reset the clock in the car when I feel like dragging out the manual to see how to reset it.

I'm in the same club as Odieman; no change made for me. The only problem is watching any television stations that aren't local.

*silent_rob, earlier tonight*: Well, I'll just take a break from working and see what's on the tube. Hmm...well that doesn't seem right...oh, I guess the time changed...*continues flipping channels*

And that's how I found out. :D

Ah, for the good old days of analog clocks in cars!! Our two cars have different approaches to reset - In my car, you have to hold the Clock button while pushing the Scan button - left for hours, right for minutes. In hubby's car, you hold the Clock button till the numbers blink, then release and hit Scan - up for hours, down for minutes, then hit Clock again.

Oh, yeah, I remembered - reset my bedside clock before bed on Sat, did the rest Sunday morning. Just finished resetting the clock radio on my desk. I think I've caught them all...

I had a start time of 2:00 a.m. in the middle of a 24 hour ski marathon, so needless to say, there was a great deal of confusion as to whether it was supposed to be old time or new time. Solved it by going from midnight old to 4:00 a.m. new.

I remembered to change them all. The only problem was I couldn't remember how to change my timex. It's a sportwatch that I bought just because it has Day and date on the normal time display. It also has 5 buttons for stopwatch stuff. So I had to dig out the instruction booklet.
