It's been a long time since we had a team this good. Even the judges were shocked at this jaw dropping performance.

I've watched the video several times and am just amazed how she did this.

What was the deduction on that vault?

the score was 16.233, no penalties, execution 9.733, difficulty 6.500.

i'm not getting where she didn't hit that vault as perfectly as a human could. perhaps one of her "pretty hands" (the hand position when your weight isn't on them) was a bit off.

i remember that much was made of nadia's "pretty hands" being mirrors of each other when she hit her perfect scores.

Make it a pair of golds for Gabby Douglas, who added the all-around title to the one she won with the U.S. ‘Fierce Five’ team two nights ago.

Known as ‘The Flying Squirrel,’ Douglas took the lead on the very first event Thursday night and never really let anyone else get close, becoming the third straight American to win gymnastics' biggest prize and the first African-American.

‘I wanted to seize the moment,’ Douglas said. ‘It hasn't sunk in yet. Team finals hasn't sunk in yet. But it will.’
