I recall seeing a quote attributed to Thomas Jefferson, on the subject of free speech. It says something to the effect that the majority has no more right to silence an individual than the individual has to silence the majority.

What is the exact quote, and where can I find it?

Um... I'll take a stab at it:

Though the will of the majority is in all cases to prevail, that will to be rightful must be reasonable;... the minority possess their equal rights, which equal law must protect, and to violate would be oppression.

That it? That's the only one I can find from Jefferson that comes close...
