Am I the only one who can't add extra spaces between letters? I try to draw a picture and the characters all get smooshed. Is there some vB code for this?

There is also a character called the "hard space" which does not get squeezed out.
Hold down Alt and type 0160 then release the Alt key.
Or, use the Character Map Accessory.
Two things to note: *1* since the typing window is fixed-width font and the main thread is variable width, you still have to play with preview a lot.
*2* Quote undoes even the hard space, so they may have to be added back when quoting.
The best example is on this thread.
If you like it, boost it.

 That was an excellent thread but not the one I thought it was. There was another in the same vein, but with lots of "hard spaces" in evidence.
Try this one. (Not as artistic by a long shot!)Test post - blur (http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=44228)
