Where is the largest mall, and what amenities does it offer besides the usual dept. stores?

Thanks

West Edmonton Mall (http://www.westedmall.com/)
At 5.3 million square feet, West Edmonton Mall is the largest, most comprehensive indoor shopping and entertainment complex in the world as well as Alberta's #1 tourist attraction. Millions of visitors come from around the world to visit this mall which features over 800 stores and services, over 110 restaurants and kiosks, the world's largest indoor amusement park, the world's largest indoor waterpark, an NHL-size ice arena, four seaworthy submarines in the world's largest indoor man-made lake, dolphin shows, an exact replica of the Santa Maria ship, a miniature golf course, 26 movie theatres and a Las Vegas style casino. With the Fantasyland Hotel, many fine restaurants and nightlife, the mall is a vacation resort in itself. Open 365 days a year, hours may vary for retail and attractions.

West Edmonton Mall (http://www.westedmontonmall.com/), which is about 10 minutes away from me. West Edmonton Mall is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for the "largest shopping centre in the world" and "world's largest parking lot" - and since I've parked there many times, I can assure you this seems to be true.

Among other things, the list of attractions include: the World Waterpark (with slides and wave pool), the Fantasyland Hotel (including theme rooms), an ice rink, 3 submarines, and indoor amusement park, miniature golf, a casino, a replica of the Santa Maria, aquariums, dolphin shows, bungee jumping, dinner theatre, two theme streets (Bourbon Street and Europa Blvd.), 26 movie theatres, and probably a bunch more that I'm forgetting. It has over 800 stores. I don't go there often, because it's exhausting trying to walk anywhere. A local journalist recently spent a week there, and chronicled his daily adventures.

And on preview, I noticed someone else beat me to the answer. Shoot. I guess I typed too long. :)

Woodfield Mall outside of Chicago claims to be the largest mall in terms of retail space. In other words the biggest real mall.

One without the amusement parks etc.

I live in Edmonton, and rarely ever shop at West Ed. It's way too crowded on weekends and INSANE around the holidays!

Man, Chicago has some MAJOR penis envy!

Listen, Chicago. Get over it. The CN Tower and the twin towers in Kuala Lampur are taller and the Edmonton Mall is bigger.

Also, your theatre district sucks compared to New York... and no, we don't care that a bunch of Saturday Night Live alumni came from you.
