I'm sure I'm the only one who doesn't know this, but I'll ask anyway since you're sworn to fight ignorance. And I am ignorant.

The little red envelopes mean "New Posts"
The little grey envelopes mean "No New Posts"

So... new posts since when? Since I last visited the site even though I didn't click on the thread? Did I just answer my own question?

What do the little blue arrows mean next to some Subject lines?

The little blue arrow, if clicked on, will take you directly to the new post in the thread.
