I'm not 15-17 years old, nor in New England (or Nebraska, for that matter).
Sorry I can't help you.

Shortening words to letters and "people" to ppl doesn't score you younguns many points around here.
And I own vynals and they're great.
And I'm 15.
And I don't think it's too much of a chore to spell out my words.

Ah, young people again. Alas, a lifetime of trauma has left me old, decrepit, and embittered...

dear dear clayton_e.....
Vinyls are still being used to this day. Ever heard of Dj's? Yes, some still use vinyls. Its not that hard to remember.

There's a gap, the 80's. Everything on vinyls before then was fine, but the 80's was a mix of crap on several types of media. It all recovered by the late 80's to early 90's in CD, w/ tape slightly holding on for the first couple years of the 90's. Now music traditionally on vinyls that is put on CD's seems odd, and is not the best seller. I guess music stays with the media of the days when it was made. I wish that the music of today was put on vinyls. I only used the vinlys example to group people that remember the 60's to 70's well. I could have used a better example, but like most generation y's, I'm too lazy.

Depends on the band if they want to do it. But some bands still do it my dear. Bands like Korn, Pantera, Weezer have music on vinyls. You just have to look for them. Try trendy stores like Hot Topic and you'll find them.

Well, the least you could do in deference to us old farts is correctly call them "record albums" or just "records" or "albums" for short. The only "vinyls" I ever heard of were the DiVinyls.

Yeah, I've seen a few RECORDS (happy?) done by modern bands, but damn, it's a bitch to find them.

I'm allowed to say that, anyhow. = P argue not. I may have only one digit (and a pathetic one, at that) under my "Look-see how many I've posted" belt, and I'm a few months younger than you, (grr)... but I know stuff. Knowlege is dangerous. Merc. :-D
and by the way, artists still do come out with vinyls... well, the good ones, anyhow. keeping the dream alive for all of the teenagers who decide that old records might be worth a shot again.
peace, love, and all that good stuff.

o.O having slight issues with the smiley-dudes. :D All better. And to look for records, an online search might help you better than going off and gallavanting around stores, saying what-have-you to whoever... there are many, many search engines and metacrawlers that could help you out finding a site that might specialize in 'em.
off goes the newbie, once again...

I'm ageless. I'm older than time itself. I've been around since the beginning of the beginning.
But people always insist that I'm 15.

Nowadays they'll cost you an arm and a leg (heard the expression, clay?) because, for some reason, they've become... fashionable once again*. They're for those who really know their shit
Would you believe that I used to pay $4.49 for 'vinyls' when they came out (Beatles, Stones, etc.). And that's Canadian money!!:D
*Yes, yes, I know: they also cost more because of the limited quantity produced. Mini-rant. Sue me.

I will turn 16 on December 12. And what is wrongwith vinyl?
I didnt get a cd player until I was 13, and before that I had a record player and records because all of the music I listen to was originally on vinyl.

I hear people referring to CDs as "albums" all the time, so I guess that won't work. I suppose record or record album would, though.

As for the OP:
18 year old student driver here. Clear the roads! :D
You don't remember records? I suppose you don't remember 8-track then, either? Hell, I had fun with those when I was a kid. Okay, fine. Maybe not "fun", but you know what I mean. I wasn't allowed to touch my dad's records, so I got stuck with that 8-track crap.
BTW, I hope that DVD-audio and/or Super Audio CD stick around long enough for a decent library of discs to develop. I can't wait to listen to Britney Spears1 in stunning multichannel high bit rate audio.
1. Britney Spears? Tee bloody hee. I meant to say Astral Projection, really... Spinal Tap would also be a good choice.

I'd club a baby seal to be 15-17 years old again. In fact, I'd club a hundred. My life is currently in shambles, now that I've realized that as of ten weeks ago, I am closer to my 30th birthday than I am to my 18th.
