Energy Recovery Wheels

Does anyone know what these are? It relates to HVAC, and they might also be called "Heat Wheels" - of which there are three types: "enthalpy recovery", "sensible energy recovery", and passive dehumidification" wheels.

I WAG this has to do with de-humdification, but if so, isn't this dealing with latent energy vs. sensible?
