I thought Miss Cleo was okay when she was a bit-part actress in Miami Vice, but this tarot act is annoying.

I used to like* her, at the beginning. She hit on a great gig. The stereotype is that Jamaicans are friendly and fun, and perhaps they've learned a little something about life in their tropical paradise that those of us up here in the Great White North could benefit from. A very cuddly ethnicity, with a long-standing association with voodoo, making the Tarot thing a natural. Her straight-shooting style was softened by her cuddlyness, and her obvious concern for the well-being of her callers. As cons go, it was masterful.

But now Cleo's just all full of herself. The fame has gone to her head and she just comes across as cocky and self-congratulatory.
