i live in a county "island", surrounded by the city. it's great- no homeowners association, i can do pretty much as i please with my property.
in 3 months they are going to annex us, like it or not. there willthen be rules. i don't like people telling me what i can or can't do to my own place.
i have a small barn in my back yard. would it be really rude if i got someone to paint a naked lady on the roof of the barn? just to keep my individuality?
do you think the city would let me keep it? would it be "grandfathered" in?
i have also considered a flock of pink plastic flamingos. or tires buried halfway up along the driveway, then painted white. or getting a potty and using it as a planter in the front yard.
what do you think? do you have any other ideas?
i probably should add, the city is considered the most straight-laced in the state. run almost entirely by a religous group that shall remain nameless-but goes by initals. obviously, i am not a member of this group.
