"An album cover by a group called "Coup." It was published on the Web on July 19th, 2001. It looks EXACTLY like both impacts!"

Yeah, right.
In the second picture, the Devil can be seen in the smoke.
I think we can put these in the Nostradamus Archive, a.k.a. the trash bin.

Probably not the best choice of words there, Hiyruu.
In any case, that link is just stupid.
Carry on. (Or not...)

A few words of advise for you, sport.
We fight ignorance on this site, and consequently on this message board. If you wish to demonstrate that a certain band published an album cover that looks exactly like the WTC explosions, you'd better come up with a more reliable source than a website that also hosts pictures of an outlined Satan in the explosion smoke, and a back-of-a-cigar-box drawing of the Afghan Command Center, located under a mosque.
As you undoubtedly noticed while registering for this MB, one of the rules happens to be "Don't piss off the moderators". Guess what? Calling a moderator "dick head" kinda sorta breaks that rule. I know, big surprise. But there you go.
Last bit of advice: this thread is closed. Complaints about the moderators of this message board belong in a forum called the BBQ Pit. This means that you shouldn't open a thread about it in this forum. I know, I keep stating the obvious today, but I'm feeling generous.Have a nice day.

Errrr... ah. You apologised. Heh.
OK, let's keep this thread open for now, then. I still think that picture is bogus, and was created somewhere in the last 48 hours or so.
As you were.

Here's what I found at http://www.75ark.com (the publisher for the album in the first pic on the OP's link)
From The Staff of 75ARK:
The original cover artwork for the Coup album, Party Music, was created long before the tragic events of September 11. 75ARK respects our artists’ right for artistic freedom, but in this instance, we are all in agreement that a change is necessary. We are in the process of creating new artwork for the album. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone whom this tragedy has touched.
The physical cover of the album has never been printed. The cover artwork exists mostly as a web image. We ask that all web supporters and fans of the Coup and 75ARK to discourage any further distribution of this image. We appreciate all your continued support during this indescribable time.
I can't get the album cover image to load on the http://www.75ark.com website. I think it's for the best.
*wince* Sorry if I seem to be contradicting the spirit of the quoted statement. Just fighting ignorance. But still, I was going to post this on another MB, in a "You have GOT to see this coincidence!!" And now I'm not.

Oh come on!
Yeah, OK, when the band is called Coup, and they have album covers like that, it's clear that they're wannabe revolutionaries, or at least their music has a revolutionary aspect to it.
I sincerely hope they weren't serious, because that would be sick, but COME ON! How many revolutionaries have had the idea of the WTC Towers being blown up? Even if they didn't want to do it the concept had to be there... this is not even a remotely surprising coincidence. I bet there's a lot of art work that deals with the WTC coming down.
I do admit that it's creepy in the sense that the explosions are where they are, but still...

I heard about the album cover yesterday, but had no idea how close to the actual explosions the depiction was!
Nonetheless I pointed out on another thread how mnay different screenwriters, musicians and authors have used the "WTC being destroyed" fantasy in their musings.
Speaking of which, sadly THIS guy wasn't at the WTC Tuesday. :(

Coldfire, I really do apologize for my earlier statement, please forgive me. I was the dick head.
It could be a coincidence, but the explosions are even positioned at a similar height...interesting!

According to the Print Edition of the Dayton Daily news, the AP stated that the "devel" photo was a real not retouched photo. They added that many things can be "seen" in smoke and clouds, just by the nature of winds etc... I've been unable to locate an AP link.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Striking a macabre note, a new album cover by hip-hop band The Coup -- whose music has a strong anti-capitalist bent -- had until recently depicted the World Trade Center exploding, the band's label said on Wednesday.
"We changed the artwork as soon as we saw what had happened," said Daria Kelly, director of sales for 75 Ark, the band's label...

Here is the link to the AP photo in which you can clearly see the face of Satan. AP swears that it is not a retouched picture. I'm normally pretty cynical about such things, but this picture really does give me a serious case of the creeps.

The WTC was bombed in '93. Not nearly as serious as this attack (for instance, in '93, the things didn't fall down, obviously). I think Handy's point - in his Handy-ish, roundabout, never-directly-related-to-anything way - was that the notion of blowing up the WTC isn't exactly new.

Ok, so the AP has TWO different pictures of two DIFFERENT devils, one that looks like Lenord Nimoy constipated and one that looks like a kitten, and they haven't touched ANY of them up? Listen, I think I saw a devil in a cloud two weeks ago, but I didn't think that it's "malignant face" was looking at me. I thought it was a cloud.
And on an un-related note, Spoofe: great handy-to-English translation.

We could probably even find in the smoke long distance photos of giant wingless alien space shuttles and towers on the surface of the moon, that happen to look like astronaut footprints...

I stole this from the public domain
There's a classic Peanuts by Charles Shultz where Charlie Brown, Linus, and Lucy are all lying on a hill looking at the clouds. Lucy says, "If you use your imagination you can see lots of things in the cloud formations. What do you think you see, Linus?" Linus replies, "Well, those clouds up there look like the map of the British Honduras on the Caribbean; the cloud up there looks a little like the profile of Thomas Eakins, a famous painter and sculptor. And that group of clouds over there gives me the impression of the stoning of Stephen. I can even see the Apostle Paul standing there to one side."
Lucy responds, "Uh, huh, That's very good. What do you see in the clouds, Charlie Brown?" And Charlie responds "Well, I was going to say I saw a ducky and a horsey, but I changed my mind."
