Tygr

On October 6 Durham, NC will once again host the World Beer Festival (http://www.allaboutbeer.com/wbf/). Four hours and $18 will get you all you'd care to taste of over 300 different beers. I have attended this celebration of all that is good and foamy before and thoroughly enjoyed myself (:D). Mrs. Tygr, being currently roughly eleven months pregnant, is unable to attend, leaving me in need of a chapero- ...uh, that is, a beer-tasting partner.
The event is being put on by All About Beer magazine and will be held at the old Durham Athletic Park, until recently the ancient and hallowed home for our beloved Durham Bulls baseball team. The link above contains all pertinent information regarding ticket purchase (the $18 price is for advance purchase tickets - $23 at the gate), nearby accomodations (the Durham Marriott is a three-minute walk from the event, and they are offering a special rate), and directions. Also, and most importantly, the website has a full list of all the beers being offered.
The Festival is held in two sessions, one from 12pm to 4pm, the next from 6pm to 10pm. (I haven't yet decided which one I'll be going to.)
So, who'd like to join me in broadening our palates?
DISCLAIMER: Naturally, the under-twenty-one crowd is excluded from participating. (We'll drop y'all off at Chuck-E-Cheese's. :p)
