Alex and Greg Lowe

On Oct. 5 Alex Lowe was killed by an avalanche on Shishapangma. Was he related to Greg Lowe who founded the company called LoweAlpine ??

I would infer from the following news article (in which Jeff Lowe is mentioned but not identified as family) that they were not related. (My inference could easily be wrong.)

I always thought they were related (brothers?) but cannot find anything to substantiate that believe. strange.
