I'm just sitting here watching Stuart Scott and Dan Patrick on SC, and I'm wondering, who is the best SC anchor? Personally, I wish Craig Kilborne was still at ESPN, but since he's not, my choice would have to be Kenny Mayne.

"That's a 4-6-3 double play if your scoring at home, or even if your alone."

He cracks me up all the time.

Well, no offense, but I can't stand any of them. Not only do I NEVER find them funny, I think they are the most irritating group of people on television. Just give me the scores, dammit, and leave the comedy to the experts, like Gallagher, or Byron Allen.

Hate Sportcenter? Well, I guess it's possible... some people hate sex. As for comedy experts, David Letterman is the king in my eyes.

Keith Olbermann and Dan Patrick together. Anything else has been a pale comparison.

Actually, if you think the Sportscenter anchors are bad, you should watch the CNN/SI anchors try the same schtick.

Just to be clear, I don't find Gallagher at all funny... Get my drift?

He was great, especially with Dan Patrick. It stinks that he's at Fox Sports now. Oh, and I can't stand the CNNSI guys, they're just an unreasonable facsimile.

Did you ever see that SNL skit with Ray Romano making fun of Sportcenter? I don't think I've ever laughed that hard.

Well, your not as crazy as I thought you were. I was sitting here thinking "Gallagher?....Byron Allen?!?!!"

Like anybody could do the job as nicely as Jillian Barbarie. She just leaves me whipped.

Tim Meadows and Ray Ramano. Sweet sassy molassey! They give you sports like a donkey eating a waffle!

He isn't at Fox Sports any longer (which must be particularly sweet since they are paying him to sit on his ass). It would probably be best if he just stopped trying to do TV and wrote; he is a fabulous writer.

Uh, since over in the "What laws would you make" thread I already eliminated all but one sport channel, AND I don't watch Sportcenter, can I still play? 'Cause I like two sports guys (they're all alike, right, I mean you can throw any one into any other slot, right?)

How 'bout Roy Firestone and Bob Costas. Two smart guys with a way of making sports(boring) into interesting for this no-sports-no-way gal.

And, hey, thanks for asking! ;)

1. Keith Olbermann and Dan Patrick; sine qua non.
2. Keith Olbermann
3. Dan Patrick
4. Craig Kilborn
5. Kenny Mayne

Everyone else ranges from unfunny and competent (Rich Eisen, Stu Scott) to unfunny and laughably incompetent (ESPNews call-up flavor of the week).

MHO. :)
