Can I drop my grill into an outdoor stone counter-top?

I have a stone (flag stone) counter top leading from the edge of my house out over the porch for 12 feet. It is hollow inside and has a faucet at one end and has nothing but counter top after that. I have been wanting to drop my Weber Grill into it for a while, but I'm unsure of the inpact it will have on the grill itself and impact it may have on the gas lines below. Anyone familiar with how I should go about this? I'd have to install a door in the back and make damn sure I has a reliable grease disposal system.

Two concerns: venitlation in case of gas leak, and temps around gas lines

-Since a gas leak wouldn't dissapate, venting the underneath is important. Normally, gas would dissapte into open air, but a gas leak in an enclosed area would be a nightmare.

-If we are to assume temps in the enclosed area will be higher, buy the best fitting and supply line possible, and ask about insulation for them. It probably will be hot, but not extreme, so just play it safe and ask a supplier for the best line/fittings.

The stone and grill would be fine.

I believe we already are vented in two spots in the back and one on each side. I'm going to lowes in a few hours I'll ask there what I'll need for fittings and supply lines. It's going to be a bitch cutting through that flag stone, I have not used my cutter in a while.
