tell me about Renteria

The Tigers picked up Edgar Renteria this winter. I am an American League fan and know little about him. They made the move partially to take Guillen to first base. I am not familiar with Edgar. He had a big batting average last year, which probably makes him overpaid.
How is he in the clubhouse? How is his range and dbl play turning? Hows he in the clutch. ?
