The Closer - Det. Sanchez
On Monday's episode of The Closer do you think they were trying to portray Det. Sanchez as being off his game because of his brother's murder in the previous episode? At the beginning he hesitated when giving information to Deputy Chief Johnson, and at the end he did not go forward in the bad guy's house--Det. Daniels pushed him aside and went forward.
Did any of you notice that? |

Yeah, they seem to be going for PTSD thing with him. Nicely underplayed, for the most part. I'm sure it'll come to a head at some point, probably with the Chief having to fire him or something.

Yes, I noticed it, and Brenda even mentioned it on the phone to someone. I like the continuity. I was annoyed that they just dropped the major argument between Brenda and Fritz, a few episodes back, where he stormed out of the house after Brenda deliberately deceived him over a case.
This was a good episode. I wonder if Brenda and Fritz will get married this season? There are only 2 or 3 episodes left, and then they usually do a two-parter at Christmas. |

I liked Fritz's little gotcha about dealing with control freaks at the end of the ep, too. thwartme |

Maybe it's just me, and although I like Brenda and there are aspects about her I admire, I just don't see why Fritz puts up with her. Seriously, she treats him like crap half the time and ignores him the other half.

I'm sure Fritz also wonders this. Then he sees her in her underwear and says, "Oh, yeah. That's why."

I think she treats him badly also, but it seems like Fritz is very much aware of it, and has decided he wants to be with her anyway. As if he thinks the good outweighs the bad.
I've never seen Fritz do anything I disapproved of, except for lying to Brenda about his alcoholism. That was a big deal, and for once I didn't think Brenda overreacted. |
