How do you study for the MTA(Microsoft Technology Associate) exam? Is MTA a prereq for MCTS exams?

I'm thinking about taking the MTA Networking Fundamentals Exam(98-366) and taking the MTA certification path outlined here from MTA Networking Fundamentals-->MTA Security Fundamentals-->MTA Windows OS Fundamentals-->MCTS Windows 7 Configuring.

Here, at Microsoft Learning Center, it says there is no classroom training, e-learning, of press books available. So is it possible to study for MTA Exams or is the purpose to just to test what you already know?

Also, I don't see the MTA exams listed as prerequisites for the MCTS exams. Do you need to take the MTA's before studying for the MCTS's.
