Which fictional mystery would you like to be solved?

For me it's this: I'd like to know what happened at Troy McClure's aquarium incident. But then, maybe I better don't really ...So, what's yours? (can be anything, books, movies, TV)

I'll say 'what did Bill Murray's character whisper to Scarlett Johannson's in Lost in Translation, because the auteur (Sofia Coppola) probably really did have something other than a joke-on-the-audience in mind. (Which is why I won't say 'what was in the briefcase in Pulp Fiction' because it would certainly have been a joke of some kind.)

Which of the nazis in Hogan's Heroes was the deep cover spy "Nimrod"?

Did the creators of Magnum PI seriously intend that Higgins was Robin Masters? (because that would be stupid)

What was "the noodle incident"?

This one was answered in the comic graphic novel The Shepherd's Tale (spoiler after the first paragraph) by Dark Horse in 2010.

This is an old one, but I have been thinking about it recently because my daughter is reading the books. Where did Mrs. Graymalkin get this chemistry set? Why is it magic? What was her son up to with it? Who made it? Is this like a retail thing? Or did someone buy a regular chemistry set and make it magic?

If Victor von Doom was expelled for his college experimentation, why does he call himself Doctor Doom?

If Reed Richards wasn't expelled and presumably received his Ph.D, why does he call himself Mister Fantastic?

Who assaulted Ronette Pulaski? Yes, I know it was Killer Bob, but who did he possess when he did it? He possessed [SPOILER ALERT] Leland Palmer when he killed Laura Palmer, but is that who he possessed when he assaulted Ronette Pulaski, or was it someone else.

Also, did Ronette ever come out of her coma?

Maybe you'll find out in the forthcoming revival.

Of all the stuff on Lost, the only thing that really left me feeling unsatisfied in the end is they never told us what the deal was with Libby. And they were going to tell that until the stupid writers strike ruined it.

Is that NOT in FWWM? ***/****** is assaulting both of them and while it's distracted with Laura, Ronette is released.

In the movie Fargo, we start with the knowledge that the main character needs money. He tries various schemes to get it. The schemes go wrong and a wood chipper is eventually called upon to get things straightened out.

Every time I watch the film, I always wonder why the guy needed the money so badly. He'd fiddled with the inventory of his car lot. That needed to get sorted. But, that wouldn't have been the original problem. That was just another of his half-way-thought-through methods of delaying financial doom due to his original problem.

If it was an addiction, such as gambling or alcohol, he never showed any subsequent signs. So, we're left without our central motivation. It's weird.

Exactly what did Calvin perpetrate in "The Noodle Incident?" (Or if in some freak chance he wasn't responsible, who was?)

They both have inky quills?

Poe composed poetry on both?

There are several other "solutions," but I've let my membership in the Alice Nerd Society lapse and don't remember them.

Meanwhile, I wish someone would tell me what "diddy wah diddy" means....

Morgenthau said, "William Tager's identity as the man who attacked Mr. Rather was established in the course of an investigation by my office."[96] Tager claimed he thought television networks were beaming signals into his brain;[97] when he murdered the stagehand, Tager was trying to force his way into a CBS studio with a weapon, in order to find out the frequency the networks were using to attack him, so that he could block it. As to why he said "Kenneth", Tager was Jewish, and may have actually been using the Yiddish word "goniff", meaning "thief".[98] Tager was paroled in October 2010 and is believed to be living in New York City.
So he's on the loose again. We may have to start beaming those signals in to keep him from becoming violent. We lack a crucial piece of information. So the question is still unanswered -- What IS the frequency?
