Such a tragic story (Warning: Contains child death)

I saw this on the news the other day, and paid little attention, as RO stories don't usually get to me.

A 16-year-old girl went to a party on Saturday night. Police aren't saying yet, but there were probably drugs and alcohol being served. At around 5am, she left, wearing nothing but shorts and a jacket. She never arrived home. At around 10am, a search party found her face-down in a partially frozen puddle, not 200 yards from the house.

What makes this especially sad for me is that I know the girl's father. I got an e-mail from him just a week ago.
