Tomorrow is my husband's disability hearing date. We have spent the last two years battling with Social Security Disability, and we are fianlly getting our hearing. My husband has congestive heart failure, permanently correctible only by heart transplant. He takes numerous maintainence medications. The powers that be turned him down flat. I know several of you are from Texas, and maybe have been hearing about the investigations that are beginning against Social Security. The national average for rejection of benefits is about 30 per cent. The average for Texas is about 35 per cent. The average for Houston is a whopping 43 per cent! And Houston has the longest wait for hearings.

Anyway, cross your fingers for us. We're hoping this adverse publicity they've been having will affect us in a positive way, and they won't reject his benefits. We sure could use the money.
